Connect to ChatGPT
Enable Developer Mode
Go to Settings (gear icon) in ChatGPT. Navigate to Apps (or Connectors) → Advanced and toggle Developer mode ON.
Create a New App
Go back to Settings → Apps → Create. Fill in the following for each server you want to add:

Trust and Create
Check the “I trust this provider” checkbox, then click Create.
Use in a Chat
Open a new chat. Click the + button in the message bar, select More → Developer Mode, click Add sources, and enable your Left Hook MCP server.
Now you can ask ChatGPT things like:
- “Search the Left Hook catalog for CRM integrations”
- “Compare Zapier and Make platforms”
- “Show me the API reference for webhooks”
- “What integrations are available for HubSpot?”
Troubleshooting
“OAuth Client ID required” error: Make sure Developer Mode is enabled. This error can appear when the connector wizard expects OAuth, but our servers use no auth.
Server not appearing in chat: Make sure you've added it as a source via the + button → More → Developer Mode → Add sources.
Tools not loading: Try removing and re-creating the connector. ChatGPT caches the tool list from the initial connection.
